U.S. Pork Recall Expands
The December U.S. recall on cooked pork products has expanded to include more than 2 million pounds of food and ten additional items. The recall began on December 5 with a Perdue producer recalling cooked ham and pepperoni contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. All products subject to recall bear the establishment number EST. M10125 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The contaminated pork products were shipped to retail locations nationwide. The recalled products include multiple brands and types of cooked ham and pepperoni. Eating food contaminated with listeria can cause listeriosis which causes symptoms of fever, muscle aches, headaches, and gastrointestinal issues.
