Helping over 30,000 customers deliver a safe, transparent food supply
Helping over 30,000 customers deliver a safe, transparent food supply
From local testing service to global food supply chain leader
The FoodChain ID story starts in a small town in Iowa, the center of agriculture in the United States. We were the first company in North America to provide DNA-based GMO testing, empowering food producers to serve a market need for non-GMO products.
From that small-town beginning, FoodChain ID now serves more than 30,000 clients in over 100 countries. In our nearly 30-year history, our services have expanded to include certification, product development, regulatory compliance and consulting. In fact, we now serve 3 out of 4 of the top 100 global food companies.

Helping you solve complex food industry problems
Our clients represent food producers, manufacturers and retailers who must navigate increasingly complex supply chains to feed the world. FoodChain ID solutions manage supply chain risk, accelerate innovation, anticipate market compliance and protect brand reputation.
“We wouldn’t have accomplished what we set out to do without FoodChain ID’s consultancy and expertise.”

FoodChain ID Leadership
Our company leaders answer the question of what a safe and transparent food supply means to each of them.

Conor Kearney
Chief Executive Officer
Consumers trust retailers, manufacturers, ingredient providers and farmers to have their best interests at heart. How can these organizations prove that food is healthy and safe? Testing, third-party certification, integrated regulatory advice in the R&D process, and expert consulting all help to add transparency and confidence in our food supply.

Dr. Heather Secrist
SVP, Technical Services the Americas
A safe and transparent food supply means peace of mind for families everywhere—knowing food is free from hidden risks and labels can be trusted. At FoodChain ID, we make this possible by testing, certifying, and validating products and facilities so trust and safety extend from farm to table.

Jason Grimm
SVP, Digital Solutions
What’s exciting to me when thinking about a safe and transparent food supply is the ability for technology now more than ever to help deliver on that promise and reduce risk. FoodChain ID’s AI-backed tools allow companies and their teams to more effectively focus on safer, compliant and delicious food.

Dr. Chetan Parmar
SVP, Technical Services Europe, Asia & Mexico
We all eat, and access to a safe and transparent food supply should be an expectation no matter where you live. For me, knowing that FoodChain ID helps from the farm to the retailer – and all points in between – means we are fulfilling an essential human need through our clients.

Dr. Rudolf A. Overbeek
SVP, Corporate Development
A safe and transparent food supply ensures every ingredient is responsibly sourced, verified and traceable. The industry builds trust through safety, sustainability and empowering informed choices. By protecting public health and the planet, food industry stakeholders provide peace of mind that our wellbeing is safeguarded while supporting a healthier future for all.

Dan Pickles
SVP, Product and Marketing
A safe and transparent food supply means working with our clients across the food supply chain with technology and services to keep promises that food manufacturers, retailers and foodservice companies make every day. A safe food supply requires partnerships, collaborations and accountability.

Lee Wall
SVP, Chief Finance Officer
The interconnectedness of our food supply means everyone in the industry has a responsibility. From working with our clients across the world, I see how critical those connections are to maintaining consumer trust. Safety and transparency extends from the auditor on a farm or in a production facility to the person who eats or drinks the final product.

Peter Dumoulin
SVP, Chief People Officer
As a parent, I scrutinize food labels before buying food. Food is fundamental to life, community and the economy. FoodChain ID’s services give other parents that same confidence by enabling companies to provide the transparency we all deserve. When you are helping protect what nourishes families, works becomes deeply personal.
