The Asda Annual Audit (AA) is specific to sites that manufacture Asda-branded products for the retailer.  The audit is intended as a “bolt on” module for certification to the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety.  Currently, there is no Asda module for the BRCGS Global Standard for Storage and Distribution.

Recently, the Asda AA module moved to an unannounced format requiring sites to participate in the BRC unannounced audit program. Additionally, Asda requires pet food and “free from” suppliers to opt into the AA module.

If you manufacture Asda-branded food products and are certified to the BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety, this audit is scheduled at the same time as your BRCGS unannounced audit. The audit is conducted annually and adds approximately 4 additional hours to the length of the BRCGS audit.
