IFS Releases Version 7 of Food Standard

International Featured Standards (IFS) released the 7th version of the Food Standard, a standard for assessing product and process compliance in relation to food safety and quality. The IFS Food Standard provides a uniform evaluation system for food retailers, processor and food suppliers and is GFSI-recognized. Several updates have been made compared to the previous version, such as a 15% reduced number of requirements, improved scoring system, higher user-friendliness, and an incorporation of food safety culture into the assessment checklist besides many more changes.
