European Union publishes 2019 Pesticide Residues Report

EFSA released a yearly report on pesticide residue levels for the European market. The 2019 version is available here. In 2019, a total of 96,302 samples was analyzed. The vast majority, 96.1% of which fell within legally permitted levels. For the subset of 12,579 samples analyzed as part of the EU-coordinated control program (EUCP), 98% were within legal limits. The conclusion from this report is that pesticide residue levels are unlikely to pose a risk for consumer health.
