Regenerative Organic Certified®
Regenerative Organic Certified® (ROC) is the highest standard in organic and sustainable agriculture, designed to regenerate the health of the soil, respect animal welfare, and ensure fairness for farmers and workers. Developed by the Regenerative Organic Alliance (ROA) and founded by Patagonia, Rodale Institute, and Dr. Bronner’s, ROC builds upon certified organic by adding rigorous criteria for regenerative practices.
Bioagricert, a Foodchain ID company, is an official ROC certifier, supporting organic operations around the world in achieving this prestigious certification and distinguishing themselves in an increasingly competitive, climate-conscious market.
ROC certification is structured around three core pillars

Soil Health & Land Management
Practices include crop rotations, cover crops, composting, and reduced tillage to build soil fertility and sequester carbon.

Animal Welfare (if applicable)
Includes pasture-based systems, prohibition of CAFOs, and adherence to the Five Freedoms.

Social Fairness
Enforces fair wages, safe working conditions, and no forced or child labor. For high-risk regions, a Fair-Trade or equivalent certification is required.

Why ROC?
Because organic is the foundation. Regenerative is the future.
Today’s consumers and regulators are demanding more than “organic.” ROC goes beyond by:

Regenerating ecosystems, not just avoiding harm

Proving climate action, by increasing soil organic carbon

Supporting farm communities, with fair, ethical treatment
ROC certification verifies that your operation doesn’t just sustain — but it actively improves soil, biodiversity, and livelihoods.
