Canada’s Annual Food Fraud Report 2020 to 2021 Published

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) published their “Food Fraud Annual Report 2020 to 2021 with focus on a few commodities that are a common target for food fraud, such as fish, honey, olive oil, and spices. Besides analyzing samples, the activities by the CFIA also included data gathering, risk analysis, the development of methodologies and raising awareness with industry. Based on this report, CFIA continues to assist to monitor and fight food fraud domestically and internationally.
