Fraud And The Chocolate Factory
So long, Charlie. Even chocolate bars with famous names are not safe from food fraud. A British retailer repeatedly sold fake Wonka chocolate bars at his kiosks. Discontinued many years ago due to low sales, Wonka bars are currently not manufactured anywhere in the world. Counterfeit candy bars can pose serious health risks to consumers, especially when they are formulated with undeclared allergens, such as peanuts.
