Module 2-A: Health Application: Choosing a Health Focus for my Food Supplement

- Practical focus on French decrees on plants and substances
- Excipients: Food additives, flavorings, food enzymes, and processing aids

Dr. Jérôme Le Bloch, PhD
Head of Scientific departement
PhD in Nutrition and Metabolism
During his thesis, Jérôme worked on the nutritional management of dyslipidemia associated with obesity and metabolic syndrome.
He joined FoodchainID in 2011 to manage health claims and new ingredients approvals. As Head of the department, he and his team submitted numerous successful health claims, novel food, food additive, NDI, GRAS and FSMP dossiers.

Gaëlle Donaghy
Head of Regulatory departement
With more than 9 years of experience in health food regulations, Gaëlle leads our European regulatory team. The team works on product review and registrations, quality, due diligences, and more. The team monitors all the evolutions in the regulatory landscape. Gaëlle is participating in FoodChain ID’s Supplement Training Sessions and represents FoodChain ID supplements in different working groups including trade associations.

Marie Rouault, PhD
Scientific mission officer
PhD in Neuroscience
Marie worked in the food industry before joining the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland (ETH Zurich) to conduct research on the gut-to-brain axis and control of eating at the institute of food. She then completed her doctoral thesis on vascular factors in Alzheimer’s disease. Marie joined FoodchainID to support the team on novel food and health claim requests.

Célia Théresine
European Regulatory Affairs officer
Célia has been a regulatory affairs consultant at FoodchainID for several years. Its tasks include the regulatory analysis of the formula, compliance with labelling and other communication media as well as the declaration of food supplements in Europe. The objective is to support customers from formulation to marketing of their products, while complying with the regulations in force.
