Scope: This regulation establishes the requirements for FOOD CONTACT in COLOMBIA. It includes the definitions and terms, and food safety requirements of GLASS and CERAMIC materials and objects in contact with food, to protect life and health, and prevent practices that could mislead consumers. It is applicable to tableware and articles of glass, ceramic and glass-ceramic in contact with food, and ceramic cookware, which are manufactured, imported and marketed in the national territory.
