Scope: This regulation establishes the requirements for FOOD SUPPLEMENTS in BRAZIL. It includes the specifications for composition, quality, safety and labeling of food supplements and for updating the lists of nutrients, bioactive substances, enzymes and probiotics, limits of use, claims and supplementary labeling of these products. It is not applicable to foods for special purposes and conventional foods, including those added with nutrients, bioactive substances, enzymes or probiotics.
