FAIRFIELD, Iowa, May 7, 2024 – FoodChain ID, a trusted global partner for feed and food safety services, today announces its approval as a certification body for GMP+ Feed Safety Assurance (FSA) certification. FoodChain ID will conduct global, independent audits for GMP+ FSA across all species of animal agriculture. The new service adds to FoodChain ID’s commitment to comprehensive certification services that strengthen the safety of animal feed production and distribution, and the subsequent food supply chain.
The GMP+ FSA standard is managed by GMP+ International and recognized worldwide for its rigorous feed safety requirements based on ISO 22000, HACCP and feed industry best practices. GMP+ FSA certification covers critical links in the feed supply chain, including feed production, distribution, transportation, storage and monitoring. The addition of GMP+ FSA certification complements FoodChain ID’s existing portfolio of feed certifications, such as FAMI-QS and FCA.
