Scope: This resolution establishes the requirements for FOOD CONTACT for MERCOSUR members. It includes the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, and inspection rules of CELLULOSIC FOOD CONTACT materials and articles. It is applicable to production, inspection and sales of REGENERATED CELLULOSE FILMS intended to come into contact with foodstuffs, and to packaging consisting of several types of materials as long as the face in contact with the food is made out of regenerated cellulose.
