Recalled Hand Sanitizers

Since the pandemic began in 2020 the US FDA has recalled 255 hand sanitizers.  During the fifteen-month period, the list of recalled products grew longer to include hand sanitizer products made in over a dozen countries.  Many of the recalled products were produced and distributed via Mexico, but other countries such as Poland, China, and Korea are implicated as well.  There are also hand sanitizers manufactured in Ohio, Georgia, and Florida on the FDA recall list.  Some of the recalled hand sanitizers have high levels of methanol while others contain less than the recommended 60% alcohol.  The FDA continues to monitor these products and update the list on their website.
