EU Amendment to Food Allergen Management, Food Redistribution and Safety Culture

The European Commission included food safety culture, as well as food allergen management and food redistribution requirements into an amendment of the Annexes to Regulation (EC) No 852/2004 which lays down general rules for food business operators. Besides other criteria, the amendment includes the engagement of all employees in food safety practice, resources dedicated to safe and hygienic food handling, the application of controls and documentation, compliance with existing regulations, and focus on continual improvement.
