On June 10, 2021, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued two announcements soliciting public opinions of the drafts of Health Functional Food Code.  The announcements for opinion are No. 2021-252 and No. 2021-253.  Portions of the announcements relate to nutritional intake standards and substance classifications.  Functional foods are gaining global popularity, and many countries are in the process of updating and / or enacting regulations around these products.   Stakeholders can send opinions and suggestions to MFDS by August 10, 2021.
