Post-consumer recycled materials are gaining traction in the production of food packaging, but many questions about regulation, safety and contamination were open. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) lists the requirements for companies who would like to use recycled plastic, and also published a recycled plastics database that lists of the current submissions by company in detail, as well as the dates of of the FDA’s no objection letters (NOL).
