Taiwan FDA to Join International Cosmetics Organization

Earlier this month the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration (TFDA) became a full member of the International Cooperation on Cosmetics Regulation (ICCR).  The ICCR is a voluntary international group of cosmetics regulatory authorities from Brazil, Canada, the United States, the European Union, and Japan.  It was established in 2007 with the goals of reducing global barriers in cosmetics trade and protecting global consumer safety.  Beginning in 2016, Taiwan participated in ICCR as an observer.  Becoming a full member of ICCR is a significant step towards the internationalization of Taiwan’s cosmetics administration and regulation.
