Europe Version – Reduce Your Organization’s Risk for a Food Recall Due to Allergens: Steps You Can Take Now

All commercial food production facilities have some form of an allergen management program. These programs address and control allergens through identification, cross-contact mitigation and declaration. Yet despite the existence of allergen programs, the European food industry continues to experience recalls due to allergens. According to data from Ingredient Risk Identification by HorizonScan™ from 21 Europe countries, 651 recall alerts for undeclared allergens were reported in 2022.
