Summary

We are seeking an energetic individual with great attention to detail that is delighted to see happy customers. At FoodChain ID customer service is priority number one. The Client Service Representative is responsible for receiving, logging, and passing samples to the laboratory for analysis.  While samples are analyzed, tracking of sample statuses for customers and/or returning materials at the request of the customers may be required as well as sending time sensitive reports from the labs to the customers. This is an entry-level position that requires you to act quickly, remain flexible, and manage multiple priorities, that is also a rewarding opportunity with room to grow.

Responsibilities

  • Receive samples (weigh samples if required)
  • Distribute samples to the laboratory
  • Complete order forms and ship samples to subcontract laboratories (occasionally)
  • Return coolers and shipping materials to customers
  • Send time sensitive reports to customers
  • Email and/or call customers regarding samples
  • Greet visitors, couriers, repair technicians and make sure sign in log is completed

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Willingness to learn new procedures and protocols
  • Interpersonal/Communication Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; clear, organized, detail oriented

    • Able to establish and maintain effective work relationships in a team-based environment

  • Technology Literacy
    • Proficiency with operation of desktop computers

Competencies

  • Understand basic chemistry testing and DNA testing requirements, which will include testing services, LIMS, and reporting of daily results preferred but not required
  • Previous office or Laboratory experience a plus but not required
