Japan Revises Residue Limits for Four Pesticides and Veterinary Drugs in Food
Recently, Japan MHLW (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare) announced an amendment to “Standards and Criteria for Food and Food Additives, etc.” which revises the maximum residue limits (MRLs) of four pesticides and veterinary drugs. The pesticides and veterinary drugs subject to the amendment are: ethaboxam, oxfendazole, febantel, fenbendazole, tioxazafen, and fenbuconazole. The implementation for the new MLRs were given a one-year grace period before enforcement begins.
