Introduction to Food Fraud is a new course available through the FoodChain ID Academy. The self-directed, e-learning course was developed by two industry experts in food fraud assessment and food safety, Karen Everstine, MPH, PhD, Senior Manager, Scientific Affairs at Decernis/FoodChain ID and Gary Smith, Vice President of Food Safety at FoodChain ID. The new course provides an introduction into the concepts of food fraud and food authenticity, food fraud prevention best practices, and the process for building a food fraud mitigation plan. The course can be accessed through either the US FoodChainID Academy or UK FoodChain ID Academy.
