FoodChain ID Certification Europe at first Non-GMO Summit in Brazil

Richard Werran, Managing Director of third party certification company FoodChain ID Certification Europe and an authority on non-GMO certification will be a guest speaker at the first ever Brazilian Summit of non-GMO Products and Seed Markets (SEMEAR) to be held in Brazil 10-11 May 2011.

Organised by ABRANGE, a non GMO producer organisation in Brazil, SEMEAR 2011 has been established to promote GM Free produce to the global food and feed community. Richard Werran will be sharing his expertise on the importance of independent certification as  for a means for Brazilian Non-GMO soy producers to access food manufacturers and retailers  in GM sensitive markets, such as Europe.

Richard Werran comments:

“As the world’s second largest producer of soybeans and maize, Brazil is keen to identify and preserve  its premier Non-GMO producer status so that it may continue to sucessfully engage with valuable Non-GMO export markets worldwide. Non-GMO certification provides the perfect means to ensure Non-GMO supply chain compliance, brand protection and to ultimately provide EU consumers with reassurance that their food has been produced with conventional raw materials”.
