Important Announcement for BRC Clients

The BRC have issued 2 new position statements designed to standardise the use of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety issue 5.
Position Statement 28 – Auditing activities managed by a group or head office located separately from the manufacturing site.
This sets out the process for recording separate head office audits and allocation of non conformances where it is not possible to complete all of the requirements of the audit at a site.
Position Statement 29 – Calculating Audit Duration
This outlines the factors to be used to calculate the time to be allocated to the on site audit duration. The typical audit duration shall be 2 days.
The requirements of these position statements shall be implemented for all audits booked from the 1st of January 2011 and for all audits undertaken from the 1st of March 2011.
