Improvement of symptoms associated with anxiety disorders in adolescents with cannabidiol supplementation

In this randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, comparative study the effects of daily supplementation with 300 mg of cannabidiol (CBD) during 4 weeks on social anxiety disorder (SAD) symptoms among 37 Japanese teenagers with SAD

SAD symptoms that were measured at the beginning and end of the treatment period using the Fear of Negative Evaluation Questionnaire and the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale were significantly decreased after 4 weeks of CBD supplementation in teenagers compared to placebo (p < 0.05 for both scales). In conclusion, these results indicate that CBD could be a useful option to treat social anxiety.
