Sample Size – ISO 17025 Accreditation Seal on Analysis Report

FoodChain ID Testing is accredited in accordance with International Standard ISO/IEC 17025. This standard is the leading international standard for testing laboratories defining a high level of technical competence in testing and in the operation of a laboratory quality management system.

The accreditation process also includes review of an extensive set of validation data for each method accredited.

The accreditation seal may be required for some standards and regulations (e.g.  The Non-GMO Project and/or export to certain countries).  Please be sure to check the requirements for your specific purpose.

For GMO testing, samples should contain 10,000+ seeds/beans/kernels to take full advantage of the limit of detection (LOD) of the PCR method: 0.01% (1/10,000) and to have sufficient statistical probability that the sample is reliably representing the lot.
