Seafood Packaging contaminated with COVID-19
It is a good idea to keep up precautionary measures against COVID-19, such as masks in food processing, as well as good hand washing hygiene, including after touching food packaging. China halted imports after detecting COVID-19 on the packaging of Chilean seafood. Chinese officials believe there is a possibility that contaminated food and food packaging may be responsible in outbreaks of COVID-19 in recent months. China has taken precautionary measures which are leading to disruptions in the food supply chain. However, world-wide, more evidence is needed to find proof for spread of the virus through packaging and food.
