Job Summary
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our growing team of systems and application integration experts. The hire will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our IT program and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineering professional who is excited about integrating and supporting business solutions. They must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the IT engineering needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of optimizing and supporting our companys technology architecture to support our next generation of products, acquisitions and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a technical expert in the area of system administration for complex operating systems. In large companies, this requires understanding a global or multi-office network infrastructure.
- Manages user accounts and assets, and assigns and updates security permissions on the network according to security policy.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions to software and hardware faults.
- Plans ahead for necessary hardware or software upgrades to support system growth.
- Triage and assign advanced problems or requests to the proper channels.
- Perform post solution follow up to ensure end user satisfaction.
- Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
- Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
- Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
- Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
- Write knowledgebase articles to document new solutions.
- Is responsible for monitoring system performance, IT system operations and storage utilization.
- Leads a team of systems administrators, coordinates with different departments.
Minimum Qualifications:
- VPN Management.
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server / desktop Operating Systems
- Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server
- Microsoft IIS administration and configuration
- Group Policy design and configuration
Strong experience in the following general areas:
- O365 Ecosystem
- SharePoint
- Teams
- O365 AAD
- Typical user software: IE MS Office
- Desktop support
- Networks and Firewalls
Demonstrate Mastery in:
- Microsoft Intune and Intune package deployment
- Build Remote Device configuration
- Manage policies through MDM
- MS EndPoint security
Desirable Experience in:
- Databases (MS SQL)
- Power BI
- PowerApps
- PowerAutomate
Education:
- Bachelors degree in computer science (or related area) preferred
