Position Summary

At FoodChain ID, we’re driven by our vision: we make it easier to keep the food supply chain safe and transparent. To do this, we’re developing a first of its kind, comprehensive and integrated software platform for our customers. This platform will make it easier for leading food manufacturers and retailer to be complaint, manage risk, and access new markets and consumers as the New Food Economy continues to evolve.

This role will work together with the VP of Sales, supporting them in designing, managing, and scaling the FoodChain ID Global Sales team to a greater level of performance.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the VP of Sales with Performance Management:
    • Pipeline Management
    • Sales Forecasting
    • Campaign Management
    • Reporting & Analytics
    • Sales Compensation Plans
    • Rewards and Recognition
  • Providing analysis and guidance for commercial strategy & planning:
    • Customer targeting
    • Sales coverage optimization
    • Account and territory planning support
    • Quota setting
  • Operational Support to facilitate selling:
    • Streamlining contract and billing processes
    • Oversee bid management, pricing, and quote creation
    • Process standardization and optimization
  • Collaborating with Business Development Directors, Specialist, and other functions to grow the business:
    • Ad-hoc analysis to support customer needs
    • Participation in broader FoodChain ID company initiatives to represent sales

Location and travel

This position is fully remote with occasional travel.

Skills & Experience:

Candidates should be an experienced consultant leader demonstrating significant experience in the manufacturing industry with a strong preference for process industries.

The successful candidate must have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10 years of experience, with experience as a Director of Sales preferred
  • Outstanding general consulting skills (soft skills, structured thinking, effective written communications and great presentation and stakeholder engagement skills)
  • Experience with commission plans and bonus structures
  • Have knowledge of Salesforce or another CRM platform
