The Recent Quality Amendment To The EU Plastics Regulation: What Does It Mean For You?
As of March 16, Plastic Regulation (EU) No 10/2011 has been amended with Regulation (EU) No 2025/351 also referred to as the Quality Amendment. The focus of this amendment is on the ‘high degree of purity’ requirements for plastics used in contact with food, but it does address other topics as well.
It also interacts with other EU regulations such as the regulation on Good Manufacturing Practices (EC No 2023/2006), the regulation on recycled plastics in contact with food (EU No 2022/1616) and the biocidal products regulation (EU No 582/2012). No matter where you are in the supply chain of food packaging, this amendment is bound to affect you and the Declarations of Compliance of your materials.
In this webinar we will elaborate on the implications of this amendment for your business, whether you are a manufacturer of substances, intermediates, or final articles.
