EU to Delay Organic Implementation

EU to Delay Organic Implementation

Earlier this month, the European Commission announced that due to the covid pandemic it will delay implementation of the new EU organic regulation.  The implementation will be delayed for a period of 12 months to January 2022.  The EU also launched a public consultation on its future Action Plan on Organic Farming.  The Commission has a future goal of 25% of its agricultural land to be dedicated for organic farming in support of its Farm to Fork objective.
