ECHA identifies nearly 300 chemicals for future regulatory action
23 April 2021
Last year, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) looked at nearly 1,900 registered chemicals in groups and identified 290 as candidates for regulatory risk management. Structurally similar substances are now put into groups to speed up the regulatory assessment process, which allowed a much larger number of chemicals to be assessed. Two thirds of the substances checked were declared to pose no risk to health or environment and do not need further assessment.
