China to Amend Food Labeling Regulations

On August 31, 2020, the National Health Commission of the People’s Republic of China published a draft document related to labeling requirements.  GB 28050 is also known as the China Nutritional Food Safety Standard General Rules of Labeling for Prepackaged Foods, and it was just published in draft form.  The draft standard expands mandatory nutrient labeling requirements to include Vitamin A and calcium.  It is currently open for public feedback.
