Country Time lemonade has come under fire in a new lawsuit alleging deceptive trade practices. The brand’s website claims that its 19-ounce drink mix canister yields eight quarts of lemonade provided that customers follow the package directions to reconstitute the powder into a citrusy lemonade style drink.  A complaint filed this week in Northern Alabama’s U.S. District Courts alleges that the lemonade “tastes diluted” after measuring and mixing the required portions and makes six quarts of lemonade rather than the eight quarts as advertised. It is yet to be seen whether the lawsuit holds merit and if it will proceed as a class action.
