The qualification covers the subject of food hygiene at a suitable depth to ensure learners will have a thorough knowledge of the topics regarded by the Food Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Key Topics:<\/u>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">ensuring food safety businesses operate in compliance with the law<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">understanding operational requirements, including managing good hygiene and safe working practices, supplier and stock control and premises maintenance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">analysing and controlling the risks of microbiological, chemical, physical and allergenic hazards<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">communicating food safety management information to staff, visitors and suppliers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">managing staff training and the maintenance of training records<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">maintaining food safety management procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">maintaining a food safety culture<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Who should attend:<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-GB\">This qualification has been designed for managers and future managers within the food manufacturing industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Breakdown of the day:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing training course is a five day course.<\/li>\n<li>The training will take place via Zoom.<\/li>\n<li>Regular breaks are provided.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>Assessment:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This qualification is assessed by a\u00a0<strong>2-part\u00a0<\/strong>examination:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span lang=\"EN-GB\">part one is a\u00a0<strong>30-question<\/strong>\u00a0multiple-choice examination. The total mark available in this section is<strong>\u00a030 marks<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li>part two is a written examination where learners must answer\u00a0<strong>4 questions, split into multiple parts (a, b, c, etc.)<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0The total mark available in this section is\u00a0\u00a0<strong>70 marks<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Successful learners must achieve a total of at least 50 marks out of 100 across the two parts of the exam. A Merit will be awarded at 60\/100 and a Distinction will be awarded at 70\/100.
